MANNY
PLAYED FOR OUR FAMILY SINCE 1977 FOR ALL PARTIES
BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, ETC. HE LAST PLAYED AT
MY WIFE'S 75TH BIRTHDAY PARTY IN SEPTEMBER OF 2010.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER MANNY. HE WAS BY FAR
THE BEST LOCAL TALENT AND THE FINEST GENTLEMAN.

"
It is from God we come from and it is to Him we
return" this is the
traditional expression that is said by Muslims
throughout the world and
it to be uttered by the living who remain. It is a
reminder that we
shall all return to our Creator and Maker. Manny was a
good man and
served his community with the gift that God bestowed
on him. His voice
will linger among us as a testimony of his life and
service to humanity.
We will remember him and pray to Almighty God that He
accept him among
his servants , those who have passed from this life
and those who
remain. As salaam alaikum wa Rahmantullahi wa
barakatuhu. We love you
Manny and may God grant you peace in your new abode.
Amen

My
brother in music you will truly be missed. I was so
lucky to stand beside and sing with you. You always
gave me inspiration and support. Anytime
there was a need in the community you were there with
that big giving heart of yours. My prayers are with
the family at this difficult time. Manny,
I will think of you fondly every time I sing
"Stand by me" as we did together at
the "House of Blues" when you visited me in
Las Vegas.

Manny
this summer of 2011 would have been our third year
performing together at Constantino's up on Federal
Hill every Monday. I will always remember and cherish
those wonderful Monday nights of sharing the stage
with a truly professional entertainer. There
will never be another to replace your talent and
professionalism.
As I look to the coming summer the stage that we
shared will be empty but the love and happiness
that was on that stage will be forever close to my
heart. We will all miss the calamari jokes and how the
audience went crazy when I always introduced you as
the "Italian Godfather."
Our Monday night act was unique and everyone enjoyed
those three hours. Remember those nights we
played without a break. Manny as the tears flow I
really want you to know you were like a brother
that I never had. I will miss you deeply and will
always remember you and your family in my prayers.
Rest in
Peace

My

had honor of having Manny and Twyce sing at my wedding
in 2006. Me and my husband will always cherish
that day. Rest in Peace, Manny, you will be missed!!

I
will never forget the first time, and the first song,
that I ever sang with Manny Barros. Twyce was the
newest and most happening group around. They were
performing at "Bumble Bee's", Manny was
doing his usual cool, laid back style of caressing the
audience with his presence and voice, strolling
through the crowd with mic in hand, singing my girl
Natalie Cole’s “Inseparable”. I was like,
that’s my song! I never heard a guy do that! It was
wonderful, but you know me, I was singing along, not
noticing that Manny heard me, and he came up behind me
and put the mic in front of my face. Now this was
before I even began singing in front of people, I
don’t know what possessed me, but I just sang the
rest of the song. I shocked myself! Manny was so
humble, and so gracious, to give up his song to
someone he hardly knew. It was a special moment for
me, and I thank him for that. Since then, I have been
blessed to have shared the mic with him on numerous
occasions and I will hold these as wonderful memories
in my life.
Manny,
my brother, may you rest in peace in the loving arms
of our heavenly Father; and may God bless your family
& all of your loved ones with peace and nothing
but fond memories of special times shared with you.
Love,
Darlene

I'm
so sorry for your loss of Manny Barros. I am and will
always be a total fan
of his beautiful voice and and his music and most
importantly the most kind
human being I've have ever met. He has been such an
inspiration to me and I
would often tell him how much I loved him and what a
great person he was, I know
he is in a better place with the Lord and all the
angels are rejoicing. My
prayers are with you and your family during this time
May God bless you all and
give you strength during this time.

As
I am in the process of settling the estate of my
brother, I learned of the passing Manny Barrows. I
want to send my sincere condolences to his family and
friends. When I moved to Rhode in April
2000, Twyce was the first R&B group that I saw
perform. As I watched the group transform over the
years, under Manny’s guidance, their trademarks of
style, elegance and superb harmony remained
consistent. He will fit nicely in God’s choir
of singing angels.

I just wanted to
say how sad and shocked I am at the loss of my close
friend Manny Barros. Manny and I shared a
respect of voice and music that gave us a personal
bond that will last forever. Manny was my
Saturday morning phone call to bounce ideas off of,
and give him support when he needed it. I will
forever miss your beautiful voice, your ear for
harmony, and your humor, anyone that ever was
onstage with Manny knows about this. God is
blessed to have this baritone join his choir of
angels. Manny thanks for always being my
friend and brother. I miss you. Thanks for my
time with TWYCE.
